OZNA metering unit is now successfully employed in South America by an Oil Company

At the end of 2018, a unit with Vx* multiphase well testing technology (MPFM) and a multiport selector valve (MSV) accommodated inside a standard 20-foot container was installed on an offshore platform on an island, a part of Tierra del Fuego archipelago near the Strait of Magellan. Due to harsh environmental conditions, the customer had stringent requirements in terms of equipment quality.

The MSV used in the project had a unique design in terms of pressure and hook-up philosophy, in line with the latest global standards. It enabled automatic switching of the flow measured to a Vx* multiphase flow meter, while rest of the flow from the wells were routed to a common discharge manifold. Since gas normally contains sand, the MPFM and the MSV were resilient enough to endure erosion. Special paint and coatings were used to protect the equipment against severe sea climate.
